Temporary Bug Seen on Google Plus

The testing team if it exists at Google+ needs to check a few bugs. This person is a little crazy. So she changed the name of her google account. After this when she wrote www.google.com, and then went onto the page then there the old name Phew was displayed. On clicking it to go into google + it was noticed that it uses the changed name, that is Preet Kaur Lamba. The account originally had Preet Kaur Lamba, but was changed to Phew XPhew as the person had had too much dose of social media. However being in touch with a nice social media evangelist, is quite a learning curve. Loving it. In fact a friend sent me a Feluda movie to distract me. Another sent me a note saying that i was too much visible on Facebook. But Hey it is only helping the PR people who are working so hard in representing India in the Southeast of Asia. These small bugs subsequently will go when the systems become more real time. I am only playing with the application. :)

Picture of Social Media

Social media is going to be a difficult topic to deal with. There are mostly women with nothing to do there. There is the advertising crowd gathering social perceptions. Then there are the retired people. All these three categories of people think they know what they are doing. And the buyers are anyone confused with too much to buy. And when people get the time, they will go make complaints on the social network, as if they are great influences. Then companies will have negative publicity and this might increase their productivity. They might be affected by sales and this might be due to the competition. Most people go to a store and buy what is available there. If you have pre-conceived brands in mind, then you might not have them on display. You might end up not buying half of what you want. Even cars need to be test driven before you buy them. Instinctive buying is what most consumers like, not instructive buying. Anyways felt like, and so penned down these thoughts after reading this....on Social Networks click...

Facebook Threads

Being married, having a family, and trying to remain happy, and healthy do require much of dedication. Some people manage to get all their personal work done, and done by others. In the end it is the comfort you are able to give your family, and yourself. Everybody needs to know their requirements in life, aims, and ambitions. As yet to remain happy one requires very little. An internet connection, a computer, and some friends on the social networking sites is enough, to keep one busy all through the day.

Some news is good news. Some other news is not required. All said and done we have to be confident in life. Moreover the person we look up to, has to be bigger than life kinds. When we go to that person with our problems, that person should be able to rationally guide us. It is not always possible to get this person. But everyone needs an inspiration. These days, with TV, media, internet, and news on the go; it is quite easy to remain busy in the head. One needs to meet people, and for this you need to go to a store, mall, or a club.

I like the Facebook threads that have people elder to me, senior, and with some experience of life. Not all experiences can be bright, and happy. Happiness is difficult to find, and more problematic to retain. We are all in the service of others, and that is our aim. Religion, also teaches us the same. Have a great today!

Experience with Fish

Well! Today for the first time in my life, I went to buy fish from the fish section in Spencer's. I have lived in Kolkata for the past 20 years and have never been to buy fish myself. In fact I have never cooked fish. What an amazing experience it has been to buy fish, to cook fish, and to enjoy it with some rice.

I had wanted to buy fish that would have big bones. This would be useful for my son who eats with a fork and a spoon. Keeping this in mind I had enquired and was told that Rohu or Katla would be the fish I should buy. Once in the fish section at Spencer's, with a big smile I enquired if they had any katla fish. My question was a giveaway to the fact that I was a first time buyer. I was told that it is better to buy a portion from a huge Rohu. There was another buyer who knew how to buy fish. She confidently told me that the bigger Rohu would taste good. To start with I thought that it was a good idea to buy only a kilogram of the fish.

I had no idea about the cooking process. I will have to go find out the recipe, cooking time, and then try  cooking the fish. Well my consultant was kind enough to repeat the recipe and the entire cooking process twice for me. With this information I started my trial and error method of making Rohu for dinner. Wash the fish properly and then marinate the fish was the starting point of my exciting day. To marinate the fish I used some turmeric, salt, lemon juice, ginger paste, and garlic paste. After marinating the fish for half an hour it was time to fry the fish.

To fry the fish I thought it would be nice to use some rice bran oil. Rice bran oil can give the fish a unique flavor. Then I shallow fried all the fish. The fish would splutter at times and I had some oil on my arm. However the enthusiasm to continue with the fish remained. Then I fried grated onions, ginger, garlic, and chopped tomatoes. As rice bran oil had taken my fancy for the day,  I continued to use the same. On other days I would have used olive oil. Once the onion, ginger, garlic, and tomato paste was well fried, I added some water into this. In went some cloves, cardamoms, and some cumin powder. Then the fish was put into the gravy and the kadai covered with a lid, for the gravy to enter into the fish making it soft. Yepee in some 40 minutes the fish gravy was done. My son was very excited to try out mummy's fish in gravy with some rice.

This has been a wonderful and different evening!
