Chalta (Dillenia indica)

This is what i received yesterday, pickle made from chalta. Chalta is food for animals, like elephants, monkeys, and deer. The Gorumara region is one of the protected regions, where this fruit is growing. This has never been grown commercially. So how is it sold here, and the pickle, rich in vitamins.
