Have had this before but surely did not know that the local name is chenar jalebi. We call it a form of gulab jamun. After seeing the picture on Facebook, reading the recipe, just asked someone going down to buy cigarettes to get chenar jalebi. And here in five minutes is the picture. That is definite, cannot live anywhere, but here. And today was three egg chicken rolls, and one without onions. The boy says that the roll is good. All this while he refused to try out this local yummy food all these days. Now he says the introduction to egg roll eating has been great, and he would manage the roll, instead of a burger or a sandwich. This is good news as now all are on similar bandwidth with respect to snacks as food. Next it has to be the dhaba kind of food, i mean the indian spicy food from easten, and northern india. Even dosa is only cheese dosa eaten without any of the gravies.
